HARRISONBURG, Va. - The James Madison women's soccer team will play seven matches across six dates as part of its 2017 spring schedule, as announced by Head Coach
Dave Lombardo on Friday afternoon.

The Dukes will open their spring campaign with a noon bout at Charlotte on Saturday, March 18. The 49ers posted an 11-9-2 record in 2016 before taking home the Conference USA Championship and earning a bid to the NCAA Tournament.

On Sunday, March 26, the Dukes will welcome Loyola to Sentara Park for a 4:30 p.m. bout before heading north to take on George Mason in Fairfax, Va. at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 1. JMU will then face VMI and Bridgewater College one week later in a pair of matches starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 8.

Ottawa South United, a youth team from Ottawa, Ontario, will come to Sentara Park to take on the Dukes at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11, before JMU closes its spring competition at home against George Washington at 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 22.

The Dukes will return six starters from their 2016 campaign, which saw them finish third in the Colonial Athletic Association with a 5-4 mark in league play before falling to No. 2 Drexel in the CAA Semifinals, marking JMU's fourth straight appearance in the semis.
