Agusti and Schmitt Garner SBC Doubles Team of the Week

NEW ORLEANS – James Madison's Esteve Agusti and Aurelien Schmitt were voted the Sun Belt Conference Doubles Team of the Week following an unbeaten week in doubles play.

The tandem went 3-0 on court one, registering the fastest finishes at North Florida and against Navy. The duo also clinched the doubles point in their victory at Georgia Southern.

They opened the week with a 6-2 road win against UNF's Aron Major and Andreas Scott and earned another 6-2 win at Georgia Southern, clinching the doubles point versus Gregoire Delattre and Davis Taylor. The two capped the week with a 6-4 triumph over Navy's Jason Kim and Ethan Garcia.

This is the first time this specific duo has won the award, as Agusti garnered the honor with Francisco Sinopoli back on Feb. 26.

JMU returns to action on Friday, March 27 when it hosts UNC Asheville in a 9 a.m. start at East Campus Tennis Courts.
