HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison softball collected a 4-0 win over Troy to even the series at one game apiece on Saturday morning at Veterans Memorial Park.

JMU improved to 23-13 overall and 7-7 in Sun Belt Conference play while Troy fell to 29-12-1 with a 10-3-1 record in Sun Belt Conference action.

Sophomore Lexi Rogers pitched five innings of impressive relief work from the circle and recorded her second win of the season.
Â
Graduate student Hannah Shifflett led the offense with a home run, one run scored, and two RBI's, while freshman KK Mathis followed with a home run, one run scored and one RBI.

Junior Reed Butler, sophomores Kylee Gleason and Jasmine Hall, and freshman Bella Henzler each added a hit apiece.

How It Happened
- Mathis tallied the Dukes' first run with a home run to center field in the bottom of the third inning.
- Shifflett kept the momentum going in the third inning with a two-run home to put the Dukes ahead by three runs.
- Butler drove in JMU's final run from a single up the middle in the bottom of the sixth inning.
The Dukes conclude the Troy series tomorrow morning at 11 a.m.
