HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison softball clinched its second straight Sun Belt series, during a 7-6 walk-off victory to Georgia Southern in extra-innings. This marks JMU's sixth straight win in a row.

The Dukes move to an overall record of 19-7 and improve to 4-1 in conference play. The Eagles will fall to 11-16 and drop to 1-4 in conference contests.

Freshman
Kylah Berry earned her seventh consecutive win in the circle for the Dukes. Berry pitched five innings of work, while striking out three batters and walking three batters. Junior
Alissa Humphrey came into the circle for relief and tossed three innings of work. Humphrey noted one hit, one strikeout and did not allow any runs.

Jasmine Hall led the way at the plate with a triple, double, walk, and five RBI's while freshman
Bella Henzler went 2-for-2 with a home run, single, one RBI, and two runs scored.

Avery Pinder also added two hits during today's victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Georgia Southern grabbed the lead first in the top of the second inning when it added two runs from a triple.
- In the top of the fourth, Georgia Southern extended its lead to three runs with a home run.
- In the bottom of the fourth, J. Hall sent a ball over the left field fence for a grand slam but did not touch home plate resulting in her run not counting.
- In the top of the eighth, the Eagles pushed two runs across to regain the lead.
- Henzler homered to left field to put the Dukes within one run in the bottom of the eighth.
- Pinder and Butler both doubled with no outs to put themselves on second and third.
- J. Hall doubled up the middle to score Pinder for the final run.

The Dukes will be back in action tomorrow at noon for the final game of the Georgia Southern series at Veterans Memorial Park.
