HARRISONBURG, Va. – Junior pitcher
Alissa Humphrey recorded the fourth perfect game in program history, throwing eight strikeouts, and walking zero batters in an 8-0 win against Fairleigh Dickinson University in its third game of the LD&B Invitational at Veterans Memorial Park.

The Dukes improved to 13-5 on the year, while the Knights fell to 8-9.

Humphrey made her ninth start in the circle for JMU and registered her fifth career no-hitter. Additionally, her effort was the program's fourth perfect game and the first since Odicci Alexander in 2021 vs. Delaware on May 12, 2021.

Avery Pinder also had a flawless day, going 2-for-2 (1.00) from the plate with one double and one triple, and scoring two runs and two RBIs. Sophomore
Jasmine Hall also had a big day on offense with 3-for-4 (.750) performance, highlighted by two triples and one single. Hall also batted in two runs while scoring two.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- James Madison got on the scoreboard first during the first inning when Jasmine Hall hit a double to score Shifflett.
- Later in the first inning, freshman KK Mathis popped one up which dropped to score Jasmine Hall to put the Dukes ahead by 2.
- Henzler rounded up the final run in the first inning from a single to plate Mathis, extending the lead to three runs.
- In the fourth inning, JMU added three runs courtesy of hits from Pinder, Jasmine Hall, and Campbell.
- Kate Carrier scored the final run from a wild pitch in the fifth inning to put the eight-run mercy rule into effect to end the game after five innings.
