HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison completes day one of track and field action at the Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, N.C. and day two of competition at the Texas Relays in Austin, Texas with four Eastern College Athletic Conference-qualifying marks on Friday evening.

Senior
Nora Raher and junior
Erica Jackson led the way for James Madison at the Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, N.C., both setting personal records at the meet.

Raher turned in a 35th-place finish out of 136 runners in the 5,000-meter race with an ECAC-qualifying and personal best time of 16:46.81. In the 1,500-meter race, Jackson crossed the finish line in a personal record 4:36.05, good for 61st out of 136 runners.

Junior
Dominique Johnson finished 17th out of 37 throwers in the discus throw, with an ECAC-qualifying mark of 42.83 meters.

Aereale Scott,

Meredith Willis and sophomore
Alexys Taylor teamed up to compete in the 4x100-meter relay, crossing the finish line in an ECAC-qualifying time of 46.93 seconds, good for 22nd out of 43 teams.

In the 100-meter hurdle prelims, Scott and Forbes landed ECAC-qualifying marks in 14.16 and 14.37 seconds, respectively.

James Madison will wrap up competition for the weekend at both the Raleigh and Texas Relays on Saturday. Competition for the Texas Relays begins at 1 p.m. while action begins at 9:45 a.m. at the Raleigh Relays.
