CLEVELAND, Ohio – James Madison redshirt senior center Dominick Richards earned his second academic accolade of the season as he was named a Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Directors Association (FCS ADA) Academic All-Star, the organization announced Friday.  Richards is just the second JMU player ever to garner the award and the first since 2005, when offensive guard Matt Magerko was named to the team.  The Jim Thorpe, Pa. native has maintained a 3.70 cumulative grade-point average in his pursuit of a degree in health sciences. He was named to the 2015-16 CoSIDA Academic All-District Football Team back in November and is a four-time JMU Athletic Director's Scholar-Athlete.  Richards was one of five Colonial Athletic Association players to be honored on this year's list. A total of 52 players in FCS were recognized as a FCS ADA All-Star, out of the 96 total players who were named.  To be eligible, a player must have at least a 3.20 GPA and be a starter or key player with legitimate athletics credentials in 50 percent or more of the team's games.
