    As a sophomore:  Second Team All-CAA... JMU Athletic Director Scholar-Athlete... in all games played for 2010, ranked 13th in the CAA for fielding percentage (.992) and third with 18 players caught stealing... ranked second along with four other JMU players in triples (3) in CAA conference games... finished his sophomore season hitting .285 with 53 hits and 41 RBIs... his 53 hits included 11 doubles, three triples, and eight home runs... had two hits and two RBIs against #6 UC Irvine... posted two RBIs and first home run against Longwood... homered and had two runs, hits and RBIs against Jacksonville... had three hits and two runs against North Florida... tallied three RBIs and two hits and against Illinois State... a double, two hits, two RBIs in Towson game two... two hits, including a two-run home run, and three RBIs in win over VMI... first multiple home run game with a solo shot and a two-run shot in Mason opener... walk and two-run single in middle game at Mason... two hits, two runs, three RBIs, double in GMU finale... 3-3 with a double, triple, walk, and two RBIs in middle game at ODU... two hits, two runs, three walks in W&M opener... solo home run in W&M finale... 2-for-4, two runs, two RBIs, double, walk at Radford... two hits with a double, a walk, and two runs in second game at Kennesaw State... 3-for-3 with two walks in Delaware opener... career-high four hits with three RBIs and a double in Delaware game two... two hits, two runs, two RBIs, a double, and hit by pitch in Hofstra opener... added one run and one hit during an ECU face-off... hit a triple against the VCU finale game... got on base in all three CAA Tournament games with two RBIs and one home run in the final loss against UNC Wilmington to close the 2010 season for the Dukes.

     

    As a freshman:  Split starting catcher duties for most of season in first collegiate campaign... made JMU debut and had an RBI off a hit against Southern Illinois... credited for an RBI and was walked against Troy... went 2-for-5 with three RBIs and a run scored on the road against Stetson... had three hits against Liberty with two runs scored and two RBIs... had two hits when the Dukes went on the road to Towson for a CAA matchup... 2-for-3 in ODU opener with first career homer, a double, and a walk... had two doubles, three runs scored, and a run batted in, two walks, and a stolen base in a mid-week matchup against VMI... recorded a hit and an RBI in Delaware finale... key pinch-hit RBI single in 9th against Longwood... had three hits with a RBI in the series opener at home against Georgia State... scored twice at VMI... 2-for-3 with an RBI at Longwood... hit .227 for the Herndon Braves with two doubles, three triples, and two home runs while ranking third on the team with 18 RBIs in the Cal Ripken, Sr. Collegiate Baseball League this summer.

     

    Before JMU: Played for father Tim Lowery and the Cosby Titans...team was AAA State Tournament Quarterfinalist in 2005 and 2008...won districts, states, and region for American Legion and received the bronze medal in the American Legion World Series sophomore year...started in the Virginia High School League All-Star Game for the East senior year...junior year was named first-team all-district, all-region, all-metro, and honorable mention AAA all-state...senior year was named first-team all-district, all-region, all-metro, AAA all-state, all digital sports team, and all Virginia preps team...senior year was named Cosby’s Co-male athlete of the year and Cosby High School student of the year.

     

    Personal: Son of Lori and Tim Lowery...cousin Don Gross pitches for the Cincinnati Reds...enjoys listening to music, hanging out with friends, and playing the cello...kinesiology major.

    Hanging with friends, listening to music, and lifting

    I can speak Spanish and play the cello.

    What has been most memorable JMU baseball moment thus far?
    Probably getting to see my name in the lineup starting my first ever game

    What is the best advice you have received?
    Don't ever take a play off because someone might be watching you for the first time ever.

    What advice would you give a prospective recruit?
    Always hustle everywhere, play the game hard, with respect, and be aggressive.

    The lord's prayer with the team

    Go as far as I can with baseball and be a collegiate baseball coach
