    Getting to Know James...

    Why did you choose JMU?
Because I wanted a chance to win at the highest possible level. Plus I also look good in purple.

What is your major/minor and why did you choose it?
Kinesiology- Sports Management with a Minor in Business. This way I don't have to give up the sport when I can't play anymore.

What are your goals for the 2010 season?
Personally, I want to make the all-CAA team. As a team, I think this team can (and will) make it to at least a super regional.

What are your hobbies or interests off the field?
Fishing, Camping, Working on cars, Shooting, and beating David Herbek in Tiger Woods

Do you have any unique talents?
    I won the D-hall grilled-cheese eating contest. I wish I didn't.

What has been most memorable JMU baseball moment thus far?
    Winning the CAA championship

What is the best advice you have received?
"Don't think too much. Your hands know what to do and your head just gets in the way"
    -Larry Mitchell

What advice would you give a prospective recruit?
Don't try too hard. If you're good enough to play at JMU, the coaches already know who you are. Just play your hardest.

Do you have a nickname on the team?
    Wein

Do you have a special pre-game ritual or tradition that you always follow?
Whatever is working at the time. If I had a good game in my last appearance everything must be the same: Food, warm-up, game routine, ect. I ate a burger and drank a liter of cola before every game in the CAA Tournament in 08.

What is the best class you have taken at JMU?
Legal and Ethical Issues in Sports-Professor Carr

What do you want to do after college?
I want to be a professional food eater, maybe win the Nathans Hot Dog eating contest. Either that or Professional Bull Rider.

Who or what influenced you to get involved in baseball?
My father, he pushed me to get better when I was little and I know we clashed over it when I was little but I appreciate it so much now.
