- JMU career debut in loss at La Salle
- Saw two minutes of action in win over Rider
- First career points on a three- pointer vs. Rhode Island along with an offensive rebound
- Career-high five minutes played at Georgia State with basket on driving layup
Before JMU:
- Played for head coach Darren Maynard and Western Albemarle high School
- Helped lead the Warriors to the 2009-10 Jefferson District and regional titles as a senior while setting a program record for wins
- Averaged 20.7 points and 9.8 rebounds to be named Jefferson District Player of the Year
- Also honored as a senior as First Team All-Region and First Team All-State
- Two-time Jefferson District First Team All-District
- Four-year varsity letter winner
- Also played two years of lacrosse at Western Albemarle
- Member of National Honor Society
Personal:
- Son of Regina and Ed Pierce
- Grandfather, Ed Pierce, lettered in both basketball and baseball at Virginia Tech, including serving as captain of the baseball team in 1952
- Old brother, Andy Pierce, played basketball for JMU during the 2005-06 season
