Amanda joined the Duke Club staff in July 2012 as Assistant Director for Donor Engagement and Events.  She is responsible for creating exciting and innovative event experiences for all donors and prospective donors of JMU Athletics, coordinating with other key athletic departments on a variety of communication and marking efforts that impact developmental and event activities, and contributing to innovative donor recognition program by overseeing the design and production of a variety of events.


Before joining the Duke Club staff, Amanda was employed by Aramark (JMU Diving Services) for three years, where she planned and executed all catering functions on the Suite Level for Bridgeforth Stadium and worked a variety of events in collaboration with JMU Athletics.  Her most recent position with Aramark was Location Manager of Madison Grill, and on-campus restaurant.  Prior to Aramark, Amanda served as an event assistant with JMU Parent Relations.  She also worked at The Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, VA during her time at JMU.  Amanda graduated with honors from JMU in December 2008 with a BBA in Hospitality and Tourism Management. She won the Greenbrier Award for Outstanding Theme Dinner of the Year and won the COB 300 Business Proposal out of 140 teams.

Amanda is a native of Chase City, VA and has an older sister ('08 alum) and younger brother.  She and her German Shorthair Pointer, Blitz, currently reside in Clover Hill, VA.
