Duke Club priority reseating is a process that allows active Duke Club members to upgrade their season ticket locations by accumulating Priority Points through their support of the program and improving their Duke Club Rank. Priority Points are calculated based on various factors, including annual and lifetime giving, season ticket purchases and consecutive years as a donor. Priority points are used to determine your overall rank within the Duke Club. JMU Athletics reseats both football and basketball every four years in order of Duke Club rank.
Following the respective priority deadlines, all Duke Club members who have ordered season tickets will be ranked in order of their Duke Club priority points. Seat selection appointments will be scheduled in rank order (June for Football and September for Basketball). Duke Club members will be notified of their appointment time immediately after the respective priority deadline. Appointments will take approximately 20 minutes, allowing you to make yourself comfortable with seating options, review available seats, select your seat location, and confirm your tickets and parking. In the event you cannot attend your seat selection appointment, you may designate someone to attend on your behalf. If you or a representative cannot attend, JMU Athletics will select your seats for you based on your seating preferences, previous location, and the best available locations.
Providing Your Seating Preferences
Season ticket holders will be given the opportunity to indicate their preferences for their season ticket location. In the event you can not be present during your seat selection appointment, we will select your seats based on preferences given. Preferences can be indicated at the time of order, upon payment of remaining balances, or by contacting the Ticket Office by phone (540-568-3853) or at firstname.lastname@example.org. If preferences are not indicated we will select the best seats available.
Group Seating Blocks
If you would like to sit with someone please indicate this on your seat preferences. The individual with the lower priority total determines the time of your selection appointment. You may send one representative from your group to select for everyone.
Appointments (In person only, no call-ins)
We understand that some season ticket holders will not be able to attend their scheduled appointment times. If you cannot attend, your seats will be selected at the time of your appointment based on the seating preferences you indicate on your season ticket renewal. Please take the time to indicate your preferences in the event you cannot attend your scheduled appointment. Due to the large number of appointments, call-ins will not be accepted and a missed appointment cannot be made up.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Duke Club reseating?
Duke Club priority reseating is a process that allows active Duke Club members to upgrade their respective seats by accumulating points through their support of the program. Priority Points are calculated based on various factors, including annual and lifetime giving, season ticket purchases and consecutive years as a donor. JMU Athletics reseats both football and basketball every four years in order of Duke Club rank.
Why reseat Bridgeforth Stadium and the Convocation Center?
The Duke Club reseating process mandates reseating every four years which began in 2001 at Bridgeforth Stadium and 2004 in the Convocation Center. During the stadium expansion process, regulary scheduled reseatings were delayed to coincide with the completion of Bridgeforth Stadium. The reseating process allows the most fair and equitable process to assign season tickets and enables access to all seating areas using Duke Club priority and rank.
Do I have to be a current Duke Club member to sit in priority seating?
Yes. To sit in Duke Club priority seating, individuals must make an annual, unrestricted gift at the Duke Level ($125 or greater) . Benefits within the Duke Club (ticket quantities, parking, hospitality, etc. ) are based on the amount of your annual unrestricted gift. All restricted gifts will be counted for points; however, you must make an unrestricted gift to activate your points.
What happens if I do not make my Duke Club contribution by the priority deadline?
Duke Club donors who do not pledge and pay 50% of their annual unrestricted gift by the priority deadline (May 15) will not have their priority points calculated for the 2011 football reseating. In order to receive a reseating appointment, we must receive your Duke Club gift and season ticket renewal by May 15.
What happens if I do not renew or order my season tickets by the priority deadline?
In order to receive a reseating appointment we must receive your season ticket renewal and Duke Club gift by May 15. Orders received after May 15 will not be included in the 2011 Fooball reseating.
When will I be able to know where my seats will be?
The Duke Club will send an invitation to all season ticket holders who are active Duke Club members (calculated following the May 15 priority deadline) . The invitation will include a scheduled time to select your seats according to your respective rank. If you are unable to attend, options are provided for you to designate your choice, and you may ask someone to select your seats at the scheduled time. If no one can come at your allotted time, the Duke Club will review the preferences you provided and best accommodate your request based on availability. You must purchase the selected seats annually in order to maintain them for the next four years.
When will I receive confirmation of my Duke Club rank and seat selection appointment time?
Your priority points and rank will be calculated after the May 15 Duke Club priority deadline. On May 18, you will be sent an email indicating your current point total and rank as well as your scheduled reseating appointment time.
Is it possible to sit with the same people I have sat with in the past?
Yes. If you would like to sit with someone please indicate this on your seat preferences. The individual with the lower priority total determines the time of your selection appointment.
What is the advantage of reseating the Bridgeforth Stadium every four years?
Re-assigning priority seating gives individuals the opportunity every four years to improve seating based on the amount of priority points accumulated since the last reseating. The priority point system governs upgrades of ticket locations for existing donors and new donors. The system is intended to promote fairness, reward the loyalty of our long-time supporters and encourage current contributors to the Duke Club.
What if I cannot make my appointment time to select my seats?
We understand that some season ticket holders will not be able to attend their scheduled appointment times. If you cannot attend, your seats will be selected at the time of your appointment based on the seating preferences you indicate on your season ticket renewal. Please take the time to indicate your preferences in the event you cannot attend your scheduled appointment. Due to the large number of appointments, a missed appointment cannot be made up.
Do I have to give a Duke Club gift every year to stay in the priority seating?
Yes. In order to be part of the reseating process and to renew in future seasons, you must maintain an annual gift to the Duke Club. Please keep in mind that these are minimum donation amounts required to renew priority season tickets, ticket quantities are determined by your giving level; see the Duke Club benefit chart for exact details.
How will my parking be affected?
Parking will not be effected by the 2011 Football reseating process. Parking locations are determined by your Duke Club giving level; see the Duke Club benefit chart for exact details.
Can I get club, chairbacks, as well as priority season tickets?
If you make a donation, you qualify for all the seat benefits of each seating area. For example, if you make a $1,500 donation, you are eligible for 2 chairback seats (based on rank and availability) as well as 6 tickets in priority seating. Please see the Duke Club benefit chart for exact details.
Can I get priority season tickets as well as Public or Family Plan season tickets?
Public and family plan season tickets do not require donations. However, these seating areas will be assigned first by Duke Club priority points. Orders for public season tickets and family plans from non Duke Club members will be assigned based on order date after the reseating process is completed.
