Robyn Newman |
Originally from West Chester, PA, came to JMU in 1981 on a full scholarship to play Field Hockey and Lacrosse. Was a starter on champion field hockey (1982 Virginia Intercollegiate League) and lacrosse (1985 South Atlantic conference) teams at JMU. Was All-SAC and currently ranked 12th all time in JMU lacrosse in career goals (111), assists (47) and points (158). Graduated in 1985 with a B.S. in Communications. Robyn is a Customer Service Supervisor in Harrisonburg having worked at RR Donnelley for 22 years.
After marrying her college sweetheart, Charlie, they now have two wonderful children who also attend JMU. Charlie received a full scholarship to play football and will graduate with a B.S. in Accounting in Dec. 2010. Nikki is a sophomore at JMU and received a full scholarship to play basketball and is due to graduate in 2013.
