When I think of family, I think of people who want more for you then you want for yourself and drive you to reach your maximum potential. When I said I wanted to play basketball, my family said you can be a tremendous basketball player. When I said I wanted to be part of a great team, my family said you can not only be part of a great team but you can LEAD a great team. When I said I wanted to graduate from college my family said you can get a master's or even a doctorate degree in any field you choose. When I feel I have reached my limits, my family sets the bar higher. That has been my experience at JMU.
The administrators, professors, faculty and alumni at James Madison have pushed me, challenged me, encouraged me and supported me every step of the way, and that is why I consider JMU to be part of my family. I can say without a doubt that I would not be who I am today without JMU, and the beautiful thing is they are still raising the bar."
