SCOUTING OLD DOMINION
The Lady Monarchs are riding a three-game win streak and sit at 19-9 overall.  In league play, ODU is 10-6 and sits in the fourth-place slot of the Colonial Athletic Association standings.
Sophomore forward Shae Kelley is the reigning CAA Co-Player of the Week after leading ODU to a 2-0 record last week as she averaged 17 points and 8.5 rebounds en route to her team-leading seventh double-double of the year.  For the season, the sophomore is knocking down 13.1 points off of 49.8-percent shooting and a team-leading 8.7 rebounds per game.  She also averages 2.4 steals and 1.1 blocks, tops for the squad.
The offensive leader of the Lady Monarchs is senior guard Jackie Cook.  Cook is posting a team-high 13.8 points off of 43.4 percent shooting from the field and 82.6 percent shooting from the free throw line.
Old Dominion defends the arc, allowing opponents to knock down just 27.3 percent of shots from 3-point range, the second-best defense percentage in the CAA.  ODU opponents are also turning the ball over 20.3 times per outing while ODU only gives the ball up 16.9 times per game, creating a favorable +3.39 turnover margin for Old Dominion.
The Lady Monarchs also are not afraid to share the ball as they average a league-second 15.3 assists per game.  The effort is led by sophomore guard Ashley Betz-White (2.3) and freshman guard Galaisha Goodhope (2.1).

JMU FAST BREAK
The Dukes are tied with Drexel for second place in the league standings after falling 61-60 at #18/19 Delaware on Feb. 24.  JMU sits at 18-9 overall and 12-3 in CAA play.
Senior guard Tarik Hislop surpassed the 1,700-point mark Feb. 24 at Delaware and now boasts 1,712 career points in a JMU uniform.  On the same day, she grabbed sole possession of the JMU record for career games played with her 131st game.  She also increased her school record of consecutive games played to 131 and career games started to 130.
Junior guard Kirby Burkholder now sits in third place on JMU's career made 3-pointers list with 163 after knocking down six 3's last week.  The junior is averaging 2.7 made shots from beyond the arc on 37.1 percent shooting from 3-point range and is posting a scoring average of 15.1 on 40.1 percent shooting from the floor.
Leading the team in shooting percentage is sophomore forward Toia Giggetts.  She is sinking 47.1 percent (56 of 119) of the shots she puts up this season, including 47.6 percent (39 of 82) of her shots against CAA foes.  She is also averaging 6.3 boards overall and 7.4 when facing conference opponents.  The sophomore posted her third double-double of the season at Delaware when she posted 10 points and 12 rebounds for the Dukes.
