Community Service Day with JMU Cheerleading
April 1, the cheerleaders planned a high-energy program to teach cheers, tumbling and physical activities to a group of 20 preschool aged kids from the local Harrisonburg Rockingham Child Day Care Center.
JMU Hosts Spring Adapted Sports Day
Over this past weekend, after hosting a successful first fall event, James Madison University hosted the first spring Adapted Sports Day. JMU Athletics hosted the 19-member group at the women’s basketball game Friday night, and on Saturday the participants took part in multiple activities, some with the help of the JMU women’s volleyball team.
JMU Softball Hits Their Winter Break Service...
Rather than spending their winter break relaxing before their season begins, nine of JMU’s softball team members spent a total of over 80 hours volunteering within their local communities. Before heading home for winter break, head coach Mickey Dean challenged his players to get involved within their communities and donate their time.
