RICHMOND, Va., March 18, 2013 -- James Madison sophomore goalkeeper Schylar Healy (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty)
has been named Colonial Athletic Association lacrosse Player of the Week for
the week ending March 17.
Healy began the week by making a career-high
15 saves and controlling a game-high five ground balls in the Dukes' 13-12 win at
Richmond on March 13.
Then she made eight stops, including one on a shot with one second left in overtime,
to preserve a 9-8 victory at 11th-ranked Loyola on March 16. Healy also had three ground balls in that
match.
Healy leads the CAA in saves (9.5 avg) and save percentage (.514) and ranks
second in goals-against average (8.85).
JMU improved its record to 5-1 with last week's victories. After three straight road games, the Dukes
are home for a 7 p.m. March 20 game against nationally-ranked Virginia. Admission and parking are free for home
regular-season lacrosse games at University Park.
