Zabel Breaks Another Assist Record:  Senior Monica Zabel now holds the JMU season assist record of 43.  She tied the record of 41 with a pass to Ariel Lane on the game-winning goal in a 12-11 victory at Delaware on April 20.  With two assists on April 22 vs. Towson, Zabel increased her season total to 43.  The former record of 41 was set by Megan Riley in her senior season in 1999.
Earlier this season Zabel surpassed Riley's career assist record of 109.  Zabel's current career total is 115.

JMU Career Statistics:  Several JMU players now rank in the top 10 on JMU career statistical lists.  In addition to her number one rank on the assist list (see above note), senior Monica Zabel is in eighth place on the JMU points list (191).
Zabel (131) and senior Cally Chakrian (124) rank fifth and sixth, respectively, on the school career draw controls list.

Zabel, Ancarrow Continue to Lead CAA in Offense:  Senior Monica Zabel is the CAA leader in assists (2.7 avg.) and points (4.4), and redshirt junior Casey Ancarrow is the league leader in goals (2.6).
     Zabel ranks fifth in the
latest NCAA statistics in total assists (43) and fifth in assist average.  She ranks 14th in total points (70) and 21st in points average.

Ancarrow Points Streak Ends at 55:  Redshirt junior attacker Casey Ancarrow had either a goal or an assist in each of her first 55 career games.  She failed to score or get an assist in her 56th game, April 13 vs. William and Mary.  Ancarrow played only briefly in the first half of that contest before an injury forced her to be sidelined for the remainder of the game.
