CAA Standings: As of games through April 9, JMU and Towson are tied for first in the
CAA standings, both with 3-0 records. Delaware and Hofstra (2-1) are tied for third, and Drexel and Old Dominion are tied for fifth, both with 1-2 records.  George Mason and William and Mary are tied for seventh with 0-3 records.
The top four teams in the final league standings qualify for the CAA Tournament, which will be hosted by the first-place team on April 27 and 29.

Seniors Recognized:  Nine JMU seniors will be honored prior to the opening draw of the April 13 game vs. William and Mary.  The senior class includes Annie Brophy, Cally Chakrian, Ashley Kimener, Alex Menghetti, Caitlin McHugh, Ariel Lane, Alex Napoli and Monica Zabel.  The senior class has won two CAA championships, has competed in two NCAA Tournaments, and has a cumulative record of 44-23 (.656).  They have been ranked as high as seventh in the national polls.

Zabel, Ancarrow Lead CAA in Offense:  Senior Monica Zabel is the CAA leader in assists (2.8 avg.) and points (4.3), and redshirt junior Casey Ancarrow is the league leader in goals (2.8).  Ancarrow also ranks second behind Zabel in points (3.6).
Zabel ranks sixth in the NCAA in total assists (34) and fifth in assist average.

Zabel Moving Closer to JMU Career Assists Record:  With six assists in two games last week, senior Monica Zabel increased her career assists total to 106.  She moved into second place on JMU's all-time list, passing Natasha Fuchs ('08), who had 101 assists.  Zabel needs just three assists to tie the school record of 109 held by Megan Riley ('99).
Zabel also increased her career points total to 172 and moved from 12th place to 11th place on JMU's career points list.

Zabel Named CAA Player of the Week:  Senior Monica Zabel was named the CAA Player of the Week for the week ending April 8.
She tallied game highs of three assists and four points and also had two caused turnovers in the Dukes' April 6 12-6 home victory over Hofstra.  She followed that with game highs of four goals, three assists and four draw controls in a 15-8 home win over Drexel on April 8.

Keeping It in the JMU Family:  With a total of six goals and two assists in last week's wins over Hofstra and Drexel, redshirt junior attacker Casey Ancarrow continued to move up JMU's career scoring lists.
She ranks 12th in assists (49) and points (167 -- trailing teammate Monica Zabel's 172 points) and 13th in goals (118).
JMU basketball fans might be somewhat familiar with one of the names on the lacrosse team's all-time scoring lists.  Robyn Dunn (JMU '85) ranks 15th in goals (111), 14th in assists (47) and 15th in points (159).  Dunn, whose married name is Robyn Newman, is the mother of JMU women's basketball standout and 2012 CAA Defensive Player of the Year, Nikki Newman.
Another familiar name on the JMU lists is the Dukes' head coach, Shelley Klaes-Bawcombe ('97).  She currently ranks 12th in goals (125), fifth in assists (71) and seventh in points (196).

Ancarrow Continues Steady Numbers on Attack:  Redshirt junior attacker Casey Ancarrow has either a goal or an assist in each of her 55 career games.
