Former CAA member Loyola holds the league record of seven as the Greyhounds were finalists from 1996-2002.
JMU ranks second with five as the Dukes played in consecutive CAA championship games from 1997 to 2001.
JMU (2010-12), Loyola (1992-94) and Hofstra (2005-07) are tied for third, with all three teams having played in the final for three years in a row.

Nail Biters: The Dukes' final four games of the season were all decided by a single goal.  That included two one-goal losses to Towson and one-goal wins at Old Dominion and Delaware.

Dukes Garner Top CAA Honors:  Redshirt junior Casey Ancarrow and senior Cally Chakrian won two of the top awards from the CAA for the 2012 lacrosse season.
Ancarrow was named the CAA Player of the Year, and Chakrian was selected CAA Defensive Player of the Year.
The honors were chosen by a vote by the league's head lacrosse coaches.
Ancarrow and Chakrian were also named to the All-CAA First Team, along with senior teammates Monica Zabel and Caitlin McHugh.  Dukes' senior Ashley Kimener was an All-CAA Second Team selection.
The Dukes tied a program-record with four first-team honorees.  JMU also had four first-team selections in 2003, 2004 and 2010.
Five All-CAA players ranks second all-time in JMU history behind the 2003 and 2005 teams, each of which had six players named all-league.  JMU also had five players named all-conference in 1999, 2000, 2003, 2004 and 2006.
JMU redshirt freshman Kaci Starkloff and freshman goalkeeper Schylar Healy were voted to the CAA All-Rookie Team.

Three Dukes Recognized for Tournament Play:  Dukes' seniors Monica Zabel and Cally Chakrian and sophomore Amy Roguski represented JMU on the CAA All-Tournament Team.
JMU is the only school to ever have had a player win CAA all-tournament honors three times, and Chakrian is the third Duke with that distinction.
Chakrian joined 2003 Tewaaraton Award finalist Lisa Staedt as the only players in JMU history to be named all-tournament three years in a row (2001-03).  Kelly Berger, a 2007 Tewarraton Award nominee, also won the honor three times (2004, 2006, 2007) but not three consecutive times.
Zabel had three goals and six assists in the two tournament games, including the assist on Roguski's game-winning goal in the Dukes' semifinal win over Hofstra.  Roguski had three goals and three assists in the tournament.

Zabel Adds to Assist Record:  With six assists in the CAA Tournament, senior Monica Zabel completed her JMU career holding the JMU season assist record of 49 and the career assist record of 121.
Both records were formerly held by three-time All-America and 2011 JMU Athletics Hall of Fame inductee Megan Riley (JMU '99).  Riley's former season record was 41 and her career total was 109.

JMU Career Statistics:  Several JMU players rank in the top 10 on JMU career statistical lists.  In addition to her number one rank on the assist list (see above note), Monica Zabel is in sixth place on the JMU points list (200).
In the CAA Tournament Zabel climbed on the points list past two members of the JMU Athletic Hall of Fame -- her coach, Shelley Klaes-Bawcombe (JMU '97 and Hall of Fame 2010), and Nora Maguire White (JMU '92 and Hall of Fame 2008).  Klaes-Bawcombe is now in eighth place with 196 points, and Maguire White is seventh with 199.  Maguire White is the wife of JMU Associate Athletics Director Kevin White.
Zabel (138) and Cally Chakrian (126) rank fifth and sixth, respectively, on the school career draw controls list.
Chakrian is in 11th place on the career caused turnovers list (67) and tied for 17th on the ground balls list (100).

Zabel Continues to Lead CAA in Points, Assists:  Senior Monica Zabel is the CAA leader in assists (2.72 avg.) and points (4.39),
Zabel ranks fifth in the latest NCAA statistics in total assists (49) and sixth in assist average.  She ranks ninth in total points (79) and 19th in points average.
In CAA regular-season play, redshirt junior Casey Ancarrow was the league leader in goals (2.6).  However, after missing the Dukes' last five games with an injury, she does not now qualify for the CAA or NCAA rankings because she has not participated in 75 percent of her team's games.
