HARRISONBURG, Va. - The James Madison football team participated in the 15th Annual Blacks Run/ Downtown CleanUp Day, Sat., April 14. than 30 players and coaches were involved in the day, working to help clean through the downtown area, helping preserve the watershed and local waterways in the Shenandoah Valley.
"This is one of those events that gives directly back to our community that supports us so much," Head Coach Mickey Matthews said. "With going through spring drills, we have continued to work to instill in our student-athletes that all areas of life are important, with school, the team and giving back to the community. We had a great time as a group and the team enjoyed working on the project with the various members of the community."
