James Madison quarterback Dae'Quan Scott have been named The Sports

Saturday, Nov. 13. Earlier on Monday, Scott was named the Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Week.
Scott picked up Rookie of the Week honors after leading James Madison to an upset win of then No. 1 William and Mary Saturday in Harrisonburg. The redshirt-freshman replaced senior Drew Dudzik at quarterback and garnered 125 yards and three touchdowns on 21 carries. Scott and the Dukes did not complete or attempt a pass during his time at quarterback Saturday against the Tribe, racking all of their 266 yards of offense up on the ground. JMU attempted just one pass against the Tribe for the day (an incompletion) and racked up all of their 266 yards of offense on the ground. Prior to Scott's move to quarterback Saturday, the Staunton, Va., native had played receiver in nine contests having made 16 catches for 206 yards and one touchdown.The Dukes' 30 points were their most since they scored 48 in a Week 1 win over Morehead State.
The Dukes will wrap up the 2010 football season on the road, traveling to Orono, Maine to take on the Maine Black Bears. Kickoff is set for noon.
