As a sophomore:

  • JMU Athletics Director Scholar-Athlete
  • Pinch-hit triple vs. Bucknell, meaning first four hits of his college career went for the cycle dating back to three hits in his freshman campaign
  • First career start behind the plate went 2-for-3 with a walk, run and RBI vs. Mount St. Mary's
  • Single at Virginia broke 0-for-13 slump
  • Competed briefly during the summer of 2012 for the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide in the Futures Collegiate League in New England


As a freshman:

  • Voted as top preseason newcomer in the CAA by Baseball America
  • JMU debut with a double and a walk in season opener vs. Bucknell
  • First collegiate home run, a three-run shot, in Bucknell game three
  • Singled, reached on an error while driving in a run, scored twice, drove in two and was hit by a pitch against Cornell
  • Played the 2011 summer with the Mystic Schooners in the New England Collegiate Baseball League. Hit .115 through 12 games.

Before JMU:

  • Four-year letter winner in baseball
  • Three-year letter winner in football
  • Two-time All-State in baseball and football
  • Played in Connecticut-Massachusetts High School All-Star Game as a senior
  • Represented Northeast Region in East Coast Pro Showcase and Area Code games as a junior
  • Hit .382 as a full-time catcher as a junior
  • Batted .386 and drove in 17 runs in 24 games as a sophomore
  • Batted cleanup with an average of .333 and drove in 16 runs in 22 innings as a freshman
  • Two-time All-State quarterback, set single-game school record with 420 passing yards
  • Completed 52% of passes for over 6,000 yards and 24 touchdowns, also rushed for 2,580 yards
  • Honor Roll student
