Had a career-high six tackles in three games against Morehead State, Delaware and at Maine... Had his best outing at Maine with three solos and three assists... His forced fumble occurred at Richmond...

2009: Redshirted his true freshman season and retained the year of eligibility.

High School: Played both quarterback and defensive back during his high school career... Earned Associated Press Group AA Player of the Year as well as First-Team All-Group honors after playing quarterback and leading Amherst to its second straight Division 4 State title his senior year... Rushed for 1,790 yards and 27 touchdowns and threw for more than 1,100 yards and 13 touchdowns as a senior in 2007... Was a Second-Team All-Group selection as a defensive back his junior season... Was Ranked No. 16 in Virginia's Top 25 recruits for 2008 by The Roanoke Times.

Personal: Parents are John and Mary Rose... Is part of three brothers that have been on the roster, as Jon graduated last year and Anthony is a redshirt sophomore. Major is Justice Studies.
