RICHMOND, Va., Oct. 31, 2012 - Senior midfielder Jenna Taylor (Midlothian, Va./James River) highlighted four players collecting six honors as the Colonial Athletic Association announced its All-CAA awards on Wednesday afternoon.

Taylor was named to the All-CAA First Team in a vote by the league's head coaches while redshirt junior Rachel Wein (Perryville, Md./Perryville) earned All-CAA Second Team recognition. Freshman goalkeeper Lena Wimmert (Bergisch Gladbach, Germany/Lise-Meitner Gymnasium) and freshman back Loes Stijntjes (België, Belgium/Heilig Hartcollege) joined Wein on the Second Team while also being honored on the conference's All-Rookie team.

Taylor garnered First Team accolades for the second-straight season. She finished fourth on the team with seven points and was second on the squad with seven assists. She started all 17 games in the Madison midfield and has started 59 straight games overall. Taylor was a Preseason All-CAA First Team selection and on Wednesday was also selected to appear in the NFHCA Division I Senior Game.

Wein finished second on the team in goals (six) and points (15). The fourth-year Duke started all 17 games at forward, recording 26 shots, including 17 shots on goal. She scored the team's game-winning goal against Radford, recording a point on all four JMU goals. She finished the game with a career-high in goals (two), assists (two) and points (six).

Wimmert is the first Dukes goalkeeper to receive All-CAA recognition since Kelsey Cutchins (2006-09) was a First Team honoree in 2009. She finished her rookie season with a 10-7 record while starting all 17 games in net. Wimmert limited her opponents to just 20 goals on 112 shots for a 1.13 goals against average and a .821 save percentage. She led the CAA in both categories, ranking third in the nation in save percentage and fifth in goals against average. She also ranked second in the conference in shutouts with five, the most by a JMU freshman since Cutchins had five in 2006.

Stijntjes started 16 games in the middle of the Madison defense. She recorded one goal, two assists and four points on 15 shots. She was tied for second on the team with one defensive save and on game-winning goal.

Northeastern's Crystal Poland was named the CAA's Player of the Year, becoming the first player in Northeastern history to receive that honor. She led the league in goals (28), points (61), shots (120) and game-winning goals. Her teammate, freshman Deirdre Duke, claimed Rookie of the Year recognitions after scoring 12 goals and 30 points. She is the third Huskie to be named Rookie of the Year.

Old Dominion's Christy Longacre was voted the Defensive Player of the Year, making it three straight years the award has gone to a Lady Monarch while her head coach, Beth Anders, was named CAA Coach of the Year for the second straight year and the 12th time overall.

Joining Taylor, Poland, Duke and Longacre on the All-CAA First Team were Old Dominion's Sarah Breen and Kati Nearhouse, Drexel's Amanda Fleischut and Lindsay McArdle, William & Mary's Maria Caro, Delaware's Kelsey McKee and Northeastern Lizzie Priest.

The All-CAA teams were announced ahead of this week's Colonial Athletic Association Championship being held on the campus of Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pa. The third-seeded Dukes open up play on Friday, Nov. 2, at 1 p.m. against sixth-seeded Hofstra. A JMU win advances them to the semifinals on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. against second-seeded Northeastern. The championship game is schedule for 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4.
