HARRISONBURG, Va., March 20, 2012 -- James Madison junior Nikki Newman's (Harrisonburg, Va./Turner Ashby) game-tying three-pointer vs. Wake Forest in the Women's National Invitation Tournament is among the finalists for Eastern College Athletic Conference Video Play of the Week.

Fans may view the video candidates and cast their vote for the Video Play of the Week by visiting ECAC Video Play of the Week.  Voting will be available through Thursday, March 22, at 8 a.m., and the winner will be announced Thursday.


Newman knocked down a 3-pointer with 6.6 seconds left in the Dukes' March 18 84-76 overtime win over Wake Forest.  Her trey tied the game at 70 as JMU rallied from a 17-point first-half deficit for the victory.

Sunday's win propelled JMU into a WNIT third-round home game vs. South Florida on Friday, March 23.  The game tips off at 7 p.m. at the JMU Convocation Center.
