HARRISONBURG, Va. - Redshirt-senior Tyler Snow was named to the Capital One/College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District First Team, announced by the organization. He is the second Duke ever to earn this particular honor, joining Matt Magerko in 2005.
Snow had a 3.54 in earning his bachelor’s degree in history and currently has a 4.0 in his master’s work in education. Snow currently ranks seventh for JMU and second among defensive linemen with 37 total tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 5.0 sacks, one fumble recovery and six quarterback hurries in eight games played. He had a season-high nine tackles in the win over Charlotte and has posted four or more tackles in six of the eight games played.
With the honor, he moves on to the ballot for Academic All-American, which will be voted on in the next several weeks and announced later this month.
