This is the first meeting between JMU and both Prairie View A&M and St. John’s.

PRAIRIE VIEW A&M SCOUTING REPORT
• The Panthers are 0-6 overall this season, including an 0-1 mark in neutral site games and 0-5 overall away from home.  Their last time out (Dec. 6), they fell at Florida International, 77-52.

• As a team, Prairie View is shooting 30.1 percent from the field and is being outscored by 28.8 points by opponents (78.0 pts to 49.2 pts).  Jeanette Jackson leads the team in points per game (14.5).
• Second on the team in points per game is Larissa Scott, at 6.3 points per game.  She also leads the team in rebounding with 7.5 boards per outing.
• The Panthers are being outrebounded by opponents 33.7 to 45.8.  The biggest difference comes on the defensive glass as Prairie View opponents are grabbing 71.9 percent of their missed shots compared to the Panthers’ 60.1 percent of missed-shot recoveries.

ST. JOHN’S SCOUTING REPORT
• The Red Storm is 5-2 on the season after dropping a 69-55 decision at Auburn last Friday. The team is 4-0 at home, including wins over Iona, St. Francis-Brooklyn, Quinnipiac and Harvard.
• Aliyyah Handford leads the team and is ranked 14th in the country with 23.4 points per game. She is shooting 58.5 percent from the field while also leading the team with eight rebounds per game.
• Briana Brown is the only other Red Storm player averaging double figures, dropping in 11.3 points per game. She is shooting 40 percent from 3-point range with a team-best eight made three pointers.
• St. John’s is being outrebounded by a narrow 0.1 boards per game. Opponents are averaging 13.9 offensive rebounds per game while allowing St. John’s 10.7 offensive boards per game.

JMU FAST BREAK
• The Dukes are 6-2 this season with all six wins coming by double digits. Most recently, they defeated Pittsburgh 71-61 last Wednesday to improve to 4-2 away from home and 3-0 in true road games.
• JMU is pulling in 43.4 percent of its missed shots, grabbing 131 offensive rebounds on 302 missed shots while its opponents have converted just 28.5 percent of its 298 missed shots into offensive rebounds.
• Redshirt senior forward Nikki Newman (Harrisonburg, Va./Turner Ashby) is now 12th all-time at JMU in rebounds with 707 and needs three rebounds to move into the top 10.
• Junior forward Toia Giggetts (Norfolk, Va./Lake Taylor), the reigning CAA Player of the Week, had a career-high 23 points on 10 made field goals in last week’s win at Pittsburgh. She has scored in double figures in her last six games and is averaging 16.7 points and five rebounds over her last three games.
• Against Pittsburgh, JMU also got a career-high seven assists from sophomore guard Precious Hall (Tallahassee, Fla./Maclay School) and senior guard Kirby Burkholder (Bridgewater, Va./Turner Ashby) hit her 200th career 3-pointer.
