Three NBC Sports Regional Network games were added to the three previously announced NBC Sports Network games to give James Madison University football six games scheduled to be televised through a package coordinated by the Colonial Athletic Association, the conference announced today. Another JMU game will be available for viewing through the Web-streaming service ESPN3, with all home games available on MadiZONE presented by JMU Alumni Association.
The regional broadcasts include the Sept. 28 game at Delaware at 7 p.m. and home tilts with Villanova on Nov. 2 at 2:30 p.m. and Nov. 16 against CAA newcomer Stony Brook at 3:30 p.m. The Dukes will be nationally televised in CAA games on the NBC Sports Network three times during the year, as well as on the NBC Sports Regional Networks three times, making Madison the most televised CAA squad in the package. JMU’s national broadcasts will be the home contest against Richmond on Oct. 12 at 3:30 p.m., as well as road contests at New Hampshire on Nov. 9 at 12:30 p.m., and at Towson on Nov. 23 at 3:30 p.m. JMU's game at Akron on Sept. 7 is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., and will be televised live on ESPN3, giving Madison fans the opportunity to watch four of the five road contests free of charge via television or the internet.
CAA Football will begin its second year of a five-year broadcast agreement with the NBC Sports Network this fall. The network is the 24/7 cable platform for NBC Sports and is available in nearly 80 million homes. NBC Sports is also now live streaming NBC Sports Network’s live-event coverage to digital, mobile and tablet users via its NBC Sports Live Extra platform.
NBC Sports Regional Networks, part of the NBC Sports Group, consist of 13 regional networks that deliver more than 2,400 live sporting events annually, along with breaking news, comprehensive analysis, digital content and original programming, to more than 50 million homes.
