from Solomon Court.
♦ Sophomore guard A'lece Mark was named conference Co-Player of the Week (Jan. 6) as
she paced the Huskies with an average of 18.0 points per game and 3.5 rebounds

Huskies' CAA-opener against George Mason on Jan. 6. Tunstull has also made 61.2 percent of her
attempted field goals to lead the conference.
♦ Deanna
Kerkhof, a senior guard, leads Northeastern with an average 15.4 points per
game and 2.2 steals per game, as well as sinking 80.0 percent of her free-throw
attempts. She also accounts for 37.4
percent of the team's made 3-pointers, making 45.1 percent of her 3-point
attempts, which leads the CAA and is the 13th-highest percentage in the nation.
♦ As a team, the Huskies are sinking 8.2 shots
from beyond the arc, which is tied for the 12th-most made 3-pointers in the
nation. They also boast the highest scoring offense in the CAA, posting an
average of 69.5 points per game.
♦ The Huskies defeated the Dukes in their lone match-up last season, winning in Boston 61-50 on Feb. 19, 2012. It was the first Northeastern win over JMU in 12 games, dating back to Dec. 27, 1986 (JMU win, 64-61).
♦ Junior guard Kirby Burkholder earned conference Co-Player of the Week honors for the week ending Jan. 6 after posting a career-high 27 points against Georgia Southern (Dec. 31) and a game-high 15 points at UNCW. She finished the week shooting 60.9 percent from the field and 83.3 percent from the charity stripe as well as grabbing 8.5 rebounds per game and committing 3.5 thefts per game. Burkholder also added a season-high three assists at UNCW.
♦ The Dukes' opening CAA game at UNCW on Jan. 6 also marked personal bests for sophomore forward Toia Giggetts and redshirt senior guard Jasmine Gill. Giggetts sank a season-high 11 points against the Seahawks, going 4-of-6 from the floor and 3-of-5 from the charity stripe. She also contributed five rebounds and one each of an assist, block and steal. Gill pulled down a career-high 12 rebounds in the meeting, with eight coming on the offensive end, and added three steals of her own.
