HARRISONBURG, Va., Dec. 17, 2012 - Fresh off of one of the best all-around performances of his career, James Madison redshirt senior guard Devon Moore (Columbus, Ohio/Northland) earned Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week honors on Monday.
Moore impacted all facets of the game in JMU's 85-73 win over UNCG on Sunday. His 22 points matched a career high and gave him his third career 20-point game. He added season highs of nine rebounds and seven assists to go with three steals. Moore was 9-for-15 from the field and climbed two spots to 23rd on the career scoring chart with 1,038 points.
The combined total of points, rebounds, assists and steals (41) was easily the best of Moore's 99 career games. He had only topped 30 on four previous occasions with a high of 33 in JMU's last game, an 83-82 overtime loss to Richmond.
Defensively, Moore has 15 steals over the last four games. He had seven in JMU's first six games. Moore has also posted at least five assists in eight of Madison's 10 games so far in 2012-13.
