Before JMU: First-team All-District 15-5A and team MVP as a senior for the James Madison High School Mavericks... named outstanding defensive specialist in Texas by Lone Star Volleyball... All-Area Central Texas... also named to 2003 All-Texas team... named most athletic at JMHS... earned team leadership award and was a co-captain as a senior... Newcomer of the Year for District 14-5A in 2002... earned team’s defensive award and academic all-district as a junior... 2002 Beach National Champions in Clearwater, Fla. and then participated in the Beach World Championships in Greece...             When I came on my visit I loved the team

 

What is your major?

            Sports Management with a minor in Business

 

What do you enjoy most about JMU volleyball?

            Getting to play the game that I love and have a great second family in my team

 

What do you want to accomplish in the 2007 season?

I would like to WIN CAAs!! GET THAT RING BABY!! And go a few rounds deep in the NCAAs

 

What is your pre-game ritual?

            Dancing with Allyson and the team in the locker room

 

What is your favorite?

 

            Food: Chocolate covered strawberries

 

            Movie: Man on Fire and The Notebook

 

            Book: The Guardian

 

            TV Show: Sex and the City

 

            Music: Country

 

            Athlete: Michael Jordan because he's got game and class and he loves his sport

 

What is your favorite place on campus?

            It's a tight race between Godwin and D-Hall

            I am really ten feet tall on the inside. I am a BIG GIRL!!

            Anthropology

 

Favorite place you've traveled to?

            Greece, or back home to Texas after I have been gone for a long time

After completing your career at JMU, what do you want future players to remember about you?

I would like the team to remember that I am the best defensive player in the Conference, I am one of the top 5 liberos in the nations, and that I love the game more than anything else
