As a junior:

  • Missed most of the season due to on-going back problems
  • Went 1-for-3 with a run, walk, and stolen base in second W&M game
  • Had a run, walk and RBI against Seton Hall
  • Started in center-field in season opener versus Ohio State
  • Signed with Front Royal Cardinals in Valley Baseball League for 2007 summer before having season cut short after four games with injury.

As a sophomore:

  • Pinch ran in eighth inning of 10-9 loss to UNCW in CAA tournament
  • Defensive replacement in left in 9-7 win versus UNCW
  • Pinch ran and scored tying run in game one at Towson
  • Went 2-for-4 in game two against Georgia State with an RBI single
  • Returned to the lineup, after missing 17 games with a wrist injury, in game one against Georgia State and went 3-for-5 with three RBIs and a pair of stolen bases
  • Went 3-for-3 in the final game versus Delaware driving in three
  • Went 2-for-4 driving in a run in the seventh in game two against the Blue Hens
  • Went 1-for-3 with two RBIs, two walks and a steal to help the Dukes win in game two against Virginia Tech
  • Started the third game versus William and Mary going 2-for-3 and cracked the game open with a two-run double in the eighth
  • Started all three games of the Clemson series in left field and served as the Dukes' leadoff hitter
  • Delivered JMUs' first hit of the season, in his second at-bat, with a single to right.

Before JMU:

  • Hit .383 with three homers and 28 RBIs in 2005 to help lead Potomac State (W.Va.) to the Junior College World Series appearance in Grand Junction, Colo
  • Played scholastically for his father, Chris, and the Greencastle-Antrim Blue Devils
  • Hit .557 with five homers, 28 RBIs, 15 doubles among 39 total hits and stole six bases
  • Named a Patriot News Big 11 All-Star
  • First-team Chambersburg Public Opinion and Record-Herald All-Star as a senior
  • Mid-Penn Colonial Division Most Valuable Player in 2004
  • First-team Public Opinion All-Star and second-team Harrisburg Patriot News All-Star as a junior
  • Hit .419 with eight doubles, 27 RBIs and six stolen bases as a junior
  • Blue Devils won Mid-Penn title in 2004
  • District 3 runner-up and Colonial Conference champions in 2003 and 2004
  • GAHS made four straight district playoff appearances.

What is your major and why did you choose it?

IDLS - Education, I like to work with kids and the excitement they bring day in and day out to the classroom would be something I would enjoy.

 

Why did you choose JMU?

Baseball.

 

What do you enjoy most about JMU baseball?

My teammates.

 

What are your goals for this year?

To win a conference championship.

 

What is your favorite pre-game music or ritual?

To crank "For Those About to Rock" by AC/DC on my drive out to the field.

 

What can't you live without?

Food.

What activities or hobbies do you enjoy other than baseball?

I love to hunt.

Teach and coach baseball.
