As a redshirt senior:

  • CAA Commissioner's Academic Award
  • JMU Athletic Director Scholar Athlete
  • Finished his career with a 7.54 ERA, 96 2/3 innings pitched and 53 strikeouts
  • Split time as a reliever and midweek starter in senior season, going 3-3 with a 7.42 ERA in six starts and 14 relief appearances
  • Struck out three and gave up only one hit in 1.1 innings pitched against Longwood in Relief
  • One of best career performances with three strikeouts and five hits while allowing only one run in seven innings against Liberty
  • 4 2/3 effective innings allowing two runs on five hits as JMU rallied late past Maryland
  • 2 2/3 innings of relief in Saturday Mason game allowing one run on one hit
  • Allowed six runs, five earned, in 4 1/3 innings of start at #4 Virginia
  • Worked 1/3 of an inning of relief in middle game vs. UNCW
  • Two scoreless innings of relief in senior night win over Delaware
  • Longest relief outing of season with four scoreless innings allowing two hits and earning second career save in Hofstra finale
  • Five innings in start in VCU finale allowing two runs on four hits to earn third victory

As a redshirt junior: 

  • Worked 4 2/3 innings against Troy and only allowed two hits and two walks while striking out three
  • Appeared for 2/3 inning against Lafayette
  • Came in for relief against Youngstown State and pitched two innings while only allowing one hit
  • Only allowed one hit and struck out two in relief against Bryant
  • Threw 3 1/3 innings on the road versus Radford
  • At home against Radford, came in for relief and pitched a shutout inning
  • Picked up first career save with 3.2 innings at Mt. St. Mary's, allowing two unearned runs while matching career high with three punchouts
  • Pitched two scoreless innings at home versus GW
  • Threw 1 2/3 scoreless innings at the Virginia Military Institute
  • Made 14 relief appearances and compiled a 3-1 record with a 2.49 ERA and 21 strikeouts in 21 2/3 innings for the Herndon Braves in the Cal Ripken, Sr. Collegiate Baseball League this summer.

As a redshirt sophomore:

  • Provided one inning of shutout baseball for the Dukes victory against Binghamton in the series finale, where he struck out one batter
  • Picked up his first collegiate victory in relief against George Washington where he went 4 2/3 innings while not allowing a hit, run, or walk while fanning three Colonials
  • Came in for relief against Towson in game three where he went the final 2 1/3 innings not allowing a run, a hit, or a base on balls while fanning three Tigers
  • Was named CAA Pitcher of the Week and Ping!Baseball Spotlight Performance of the Week during a week where he made two relief appearances, retiring all 21 batters he faced for a .000 opposing batting average and recording a 0.00 ERA
  • Pitched two innings of scoreless relief against Radford allowing just two hits and fanning one
  • Missed remainder of season due to injuries

As a sophomore:

  • Redshirted 2007 season
  • Pitched summer 2007 for Herndon Braves in Cal Ripken, Sr. Collegiate Baseball League
  • Ledthe leaguewith 0.81 ERA while going 1-0 in 15 relief appearances
  • Allowed just three earned runs in 33 1/3 innings with 38 strikeouts and 12 walks

named to league all-star game and pitched the ninth inning to wrap up West squad's 6-0 win over the East with a strikeout and no runs allowed.

As a freshman:

  • Last pitched April 19 at Radford
  • Played left field for the Dukes at George Washington due to a lack of players on the road
  • Pitched an inning of scoreless relief in final game against George Mason, allowing two hits while walking one and striking out one
  • Threw 1 2/3 innings at Richmond giving up two runs on three hits
  • Pitched 1/3 of an inning of scoreless baseball at Marshall in game two
  • Pitched one inning in relief in game one versus Delaware giving up one run on one hit
  • Pitched a scoreless inning in the first game against Wagner
  • Worked a scoreless inning versus Fairfield
  • Worked final 1/3 inning against Clemson.

Before JMU:

  • Three-year baseball letter winner for the Brooke Point Blackhawks led by coach Brian Mays
  • All-Commonwealth District honorable mention selection senior season
  • Selected as Blackhawks' Most Valuable Player during senior campaign.

At least a super regional

Reading, being outdoors, and I like dragons.

I can speak a little Chinese.

Dogpile at Wilmington

Stay in the moment.

What advice would you give a prospective recruit?
Be yourself.  You don't have to be like everyone else on the team.
