As a redshirt junior:

  • Listed as a preseason All-CAA candidate by Easton's CollegeBaseballToday.com
  • In all games played for 2010, ranked seventh in the CAA for fewest hits allowed (64), 14th in fewest runs allowed (42), 14th in fewest earned runs allowed (35), 10th in fewest doubles allowed (14), and 12th in fewest home runs allowed (6)
  • Finished the 2010 season with a 5.59 ERA and 56 1/3 innings pitched
  • Picked up the win in a 12-6 decision over North Florida with two unearned runs allowed in 5 1/3 innings with eight strikeouts
  • Season-best seven innings with seven strikeouts in 11-3 win over Towson
  • Quality start allowing five runs, four earned, in seven innings in an extra-innings win over GMU
  • Held ODU scoreless until sixth as Monarchs rallied late for 6-1 win with Hoffman allowing three runs on just three hits with nine strikeouts in 6 1/3
  • Season-high 7 2/3 innings in W&M opener with eight strikeouts in JMU win
  • Picked up fourth win with 6 2/3 innings allowing five hits in Delaware opener

As a junior:

  • Redshirted 2009 season due to injury
  • Listed as a top player to watch in the CAA by Collegiate Baseball
  • Aided the New Market Rebels to the VBL semifinals over the summer, finishing with a 24-25 overall record
  • Joined the Rebels, in the final weeks and had a .386 ERA in four relief appearances.

As a sophomore:

  • Ranked seventh in the CAA in innings pitched (85.1), sixth in strikeouts (75), tied for eighth in wins (6)
  • Shut down Binghamton in the series finale for his season debut, going seven strong innings, giving up just one run off five hits, while walking one and striking out six
  • Went 5 2/3 innings against William and Mary in a no-decision, giving up five runs off eight hits
  • Recorded win number two against Georgia State by going eight innings and allowing two runs off six hits and fanning seven Panther batters
  • Received his third win against Towson by going 6 2/3 innings while allowing just one run off five hits and striking out six batters
  • Tied a career high with nine strikeouts against ODU in his first loss of the season
  • Went eight solid innings against Hofstra to pick up his fourth win allowing four runs off eight hits and fanning six hitters
  • Received his fifth win of the season against Longwood by going 7 2/3 innings while allowing just three runs off eight hits and fanning four
  • Got win number six against Delaware by going five innings, his shortest outing of the season at that time, while allowing just four runs off five hits and striking out eight Blue Hens

As a freshman:

  • Allowed just two hits and no runs with three strikeouts over 4 1/3 innings of relief in Delaware opener
  • Two scoreless innings of relief against GWU
  • Strong start with three runs, one earned, and five hits over five innings in 15-3 blowout of Richmond
  • Pitched 2/3 of an inning versus Virginia
  • Started against Hofstra and lasted four innings
  • Gave up six runs, just four earned, and received a no-decision
  • Pitched 3 1/3 innings in relief and received the loss against George Mason
  • Struck out six in start versus Northeastern
  • Started against UNCW and allowed just two earned runs, but received the loss because of three unearned runs being scored
  • Struck out a career-high nine and earned his third victory in five innings versus VCU
  • Picked up his second career win with a 6 2/3 effort versus Old Dominion
  • Gave up six runs, with just three being earned, and struck out four to earn the victory
  • Made his second start in second Charlotte game, but was hit with his first career loss
  • Made his first career start in JMU's third game of the season against Seton Hall
  • Pitched a complete game and earned his first career win
  • Pitched 5 1/3 innings giving up two runs and striking out six
  • The game was shortened due to darkness making his 5 1/3 innings pitched a complete game
  • Spent summer 2007 with Torrington Twisters in New England Collegiate Baseball League
  • Ranked third with 2.72 ERA as one of top starters
  • Went 3-1 in 43 innings with 31 strikeouts and .271 opponent batting average as Twisters won the Southern Division with 24-16 record.

  • All-region pitcher and DH/First base as a senior
