 Game Notes:

  • The Dukes return to the court for a rare Friday-evening game after a 77-41 win at UNCW on Sunday, Jan. 26. The 36-point win tied for JMU’s third-largest victory this season and is the largest margin-of-victory for the Dukes in CAA play.
  • JMU has won its last five games to move to a 5-0 mark in CAA play and a 15-4 overall record.  The 5-0 start in league play is the best start for the Dukes since starting 15-0 in 2006-07.  After finishing the regular season 16-2 that year, JMU advanced to the CAA title game (a 78-70 loss to ODU) and was an at-large selection to the 2007 NCAA tournament.
  • Nationally, the Dukes are ranked in the top-17 in six categories: ninth in 3-point field-goal defense (26.1%), 12th in rebound margin (+10.1), 15th in blocked shots per game (5.4) and scoring defense (56.7), 16th in scoring margin (+16.9) and 17th in field-goal percentage defense (35.2%).
