HARRISONBURG, Va., Jan. 7, 2013 - James Madison's Diamond Dukes will hold their fourth annual Batter Up Barbeque and Silent Auction on Sunday Jan. 27 at 4 p.m. in the Memorial Hall Gymnasium. Baseball fans in the Shenandoah Valley are invited to join the Dukes at this event.
Appealing to baseball fans of all ages, the event will include barbeque style food, a silent auction, tours of JMU baseball's indoor space in Memorial Hall and guest speaker Brian Cain, who is a Peak Performance coach and best-selling author.
Brian Cain has worked with over 30 NCAA championship teams. Cain serves as an educational leader in mental toughness and has spoken in front of audiences as large as 5,000 people.
"It will be neat to share Brian Cain with the audience because he is very dynamic. Not only is he educational and motivational but he is entertaining," said Coach McFarland.
Tickets are available online or by calling the JMU Athletics Ticket Office (540-568-3853). Costs are $25 for an adult or $15 for youth. A table of eight can be reserved for $175.
