The Dukes went 2-0 this past week, claiming a 5-0 match-victory at George Mason on Saturday, Feb. 15 before tallying an 8-1 match-win at Washington & Lee on Tuesday, Feb. 18.
Pinchoff went 2-0 over the last week as she picked up her first wins in singles play of the spring dual season. On Saturday, she took down George Mason’s Morgan Yang in two sets (6-4, 6-2) at the No. 1 singles position. She followed the performance with a three-set victory (6-4, 5-7, 11-9) over Washington & Lee’s Sonja Meighan at No. 1 singles on Tuesday afternoon.
Wirth and Khan also went 2-0 in doubles play against both George Mason and Washington & Lee. They began with a two-set win (6-2, 6-1) over the Patriots’ Brittany Pilkington and Ashley Delaney at No. 1, then followed up with a 9-7 victory over the Generals’ Meghan Buell and Chelsea Mixson at No. 2 doubles.
JMU heads to the Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, W. Va., for two neutral-court matches against Connecticut (March 1, 1 p.m.) and Cincinnati (March 2, 10 a.m.).
