Redshirt junior forward Rachel Wein (Perryville, Md./Perryville) and freshman goalkeeper Lena Wimmert (Bergisch Gladbach, Germany/Lise-Meitner Gymnasium) were each named VaSID Second Team in a vote of the state’s Sports Information Directors.

Wein adds All-State honors to her Second Team All-CAA and CAA All-Championship team honors from 2012. She led JMU in goals with nine and points with 21, adding one game-winning goal on thirty shots. The redshirt junior from Perryville, Md., was the leading scorer at the CAA Championship with six points and three goals. She started all 19 games for the Dukes.

She was one of the nation’s top goaltenders, ranking third in the country in save percentage (.811) and seventh in goals against average (1.27).
