Men's Soccer Senior Stefan Durr a Finalist for Top JMU Award

HARRISONBURG, Va., April 25, 2011 -- James Madison men's soccer player Stefan Durr (Garmisch, Germany/Munich International) was a finalist for a top award presented by JMU Intercollegiate Athletics for 2010-11.

Durr was among three finalists for the Gary '81 & Fredericka (Cookie) McCollum JMU 2010-11 Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year award.

The award winner and finalists were recognized Monday night at the annual JMU student-athlete awards banquet.

Durr, a senior midfielder, carries a 3.0 grade-point average. He is an international business major with minors in French and German.

Football player Dixon Wright received the McCollum Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year honor.
