HARRISONBURG, Va., March 16, 2013 – Due to wet field conditions and a rainy forecast for the evening, the James Madison softball team’s doubleheader scheduled for Saturday has been cancelled. JMU will play two games on Sunday, beginning at 10 a.m. 

The Dukes’ games against Detroit and Binghamton were washed out after rain delays caused the day’s first two games to take nearly seven hours to play. JMU now plays Detroit at 10 a.m. and Binghamton at noon at Veterans Memorial Park on Sunday. 

Fordham played in both of two games on Saturday, defeating Detroit 18-8 and Binghamton 13-10. It concludes play in the 2013 JMU Softball Invitational with a 3-0 record after hitting 14 home runs in three games.
