James Madison will travel to Pittsburgh this week to play three subregional games in three days as part of the 2012 Progressive Legends Classic. The first game will tip Monday, November 19 at 7 p.m. in Duquesne's Palumbo Center against the Dukes of the Atlantic 10.

The JMU Dukes are looking to bounce back after a season-opening 100-70 loss at No. 13 UCLA on Thursday. Redshirt senior forward Rayshawn Goins scored 24 points and shot 56 percent from the field   in his first game since the 2010-2011 season. He connected on both three-point attempts and grabbed seven rebounds with two assists and one steal.

Redshirt senior guard A.J. Davis also finished in double digits, tallying 16 points in the loss.

Duquesne, also nicknamed the Dukes, will be searching for its first win of the season as well. Head coach Jim Ferry is in his first season with Duquesne, hired after reaching back-to-back NCAA tournaments in 2011 and 2012 at LIU Brooklyn. His Blackbirds team went 27-6 in 2011, the winningest LIU team since 1937.

So far this season, Duquesne is allowing an average 65 points per game. Its backcourt is led by senior guard Sean Johnson, averaging 15 points per game.

Duquesne and JMU are the only Division I schools nicknamed the Dukes. JMU won the last meeting 74-59 on December 7, 1998 and leads the all-time series 2-0.

Following Monday night's game, JMU will play Youngstown State on Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. The Penguins are 3-0 and haven't played JMU since a December 19, 2006 Youngstown win (78-58) in the Convocation Center.

Among Youngstown State's wins are the Southeastern Conference's Georgia and Atlantic 10's George Washington, which JMU will play on November 28. The Penguins topped the Colonials 80-73 on November 10 in their season opener.

Youngstown State averages just over 74 points per game and shoots 45 percent from the floor as a team. Junior guard Kendrick Perry and senior guard Blake Allen both average 15 points per game.

JMU will close out its trip to Pittsburgh Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. against North Dakota State. The Bison are 2-1 this season, owning wins over non-Division I opponents Mayville State and Valley City State as well as  a loss to No. 1 Indiana.

North Dakota State will look for major contributions from 6'7" junior guard Taylor Braun, who has shot over 47 percent from the floor so far this season and averages 13 points and 7.5 rebounds. Fellow junior guard Mike Felt scores 17 points per game.

Following the tournament, JMU will be off for Thanksgiving but return to action in Ohio next Saturday, November 24 to play Miami University.
