NEW ORLEANS, La., November 14, 2011- James Madison cross country junior Katie Harman (Clarksville, Md./River Hill) was named All-Region today after finishing 17th at the NCAA Southeast Regional meet in Louisville, Ky., last weekend.
Harman led all JMU runners finishing the six kilometer course in 20:51.1. Harman was also named to the All-Colonial Athletic Association team and earned Most Outstanding Performer after an individual and team first-place finish at the CAA Championship meet two weeks ago. This marks the first time in her career that Harman has garnered All-Region honors and is her third career All-CAA honor.
The cross country Dukes now look to defend their title at the ECAC Championship at Van Cortlandt Park in New York City on Saturday.
