Coach’s Message
James Madison University’s Centennial - 2010 continues the growth in our women’s golf program. With reaching the full NCAA allotment of scholarships, I believe that JMU can be ranked consistently among the top 25 teams in the country. Our campus is beautiful, our academic programs are outstanding and the college experience for our students is terrific. This is a winning formula to attract quality young women to represent James Madison University in the great game of golf.
One of our yearly goals will be to win our CAA championship, play a strong national schedule, and compete in the NCAA Championships.
I am looking for hard working, dedicated individuals who have not reached their full golf potential. As a golf professional, I look forward to the challenge of improving student-athletes that have a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. In order to achieve this goal, JMU also offers student-athletes an outstanding academic support service facility and staff, strength and conditioning training that is geared toward golf and total body fitness, sports psychology and highly trained sports medicine professionals.
Golf may be an individual sport but it takes a total team effort to be successful. Winning takes teammates holding each other accountable for their work ethic and desire to achieve. If you are a person who has these qualities, I encourage you to fill out the questionnaire and visit our university.
Good luck with your college process,
Coach Paul Gooden
