Friends of Jaclyn:
The April 7 Towson game will offer an opportunity for donations to the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation.  Information will be available for those who would like to learn more about the FOJ Foundation, and tax-deductible donations will be accepted at the marketing table, with 100 percent of those donations going to the FOJ Foundation.

The FOJ Foundation aims to improve the lives of those with pediatric brain tumors and raise money for research.  The foundation has an adopt-a-child program where a child battling a brain tumor is paired with a college sports team.  The JMU lacrosse team adopted Elle Howdershell of Gainesville, Va., in October 2011.  Elle’s family will be in attendance and announced with the JMU starting lineup at Sunday's game.

Dukes in the National Rankings:  JMU is ranked 19th in the IWLCA Top 20 Coaches Poll for the third straight week, after receiving votes the first three weeks.  The Dukes are receiving votes in the Inside Lacrosse after being ranked 18th last week.

Five Ranked Teams on Early-Season Schedule:  JMU has faced five top-13 teams over a span of its last six games and has a 1-4 record against those teams.  That included games on the road at then-seventh-ranked Penn State (13-12 loss) and then-number 11 Loyola (9-8 overtime win), a home game vs. then-number nine Virginia (10-3 loss), another road game at top-ranked Maryland (18-8 loss), and a home game against 13th-ranked Stanford (14-9 loss).

Ancarrow Consistent on Attack:  Redshirt senior attacker Casey Ancarrow has scored at least two goals in each of JMU's 10 games.  In her career in a JMU uniform, she has a point in 65 of her 66 games.  That includes a goal in all four games she played as a true freshman in 2009, a goal or an assist in 20 games as a redshirt freshman in 2010, a goal in all 19 games in 2011, and a goal in the first 13 of her 14 games in 2012.  The only game she's without a point is the April 13, 2012 game vs. William and Mary, in which she suffered a season-ending knee injury early in the first half.

Healy Leads CAA Stats:  Sophomore goalkeeper Schylar Healy leads the CAA in saves (9.7 avg.) and save percentage (.485) and ranks fourth in goals-against average (10.2).  She's sixth in saves average and 12th in saves percentage among NCAA Division I goalies.
Casey Ancarrow has been the CAA leader in goals and points until this week, when she dropped to second in both goals average (3.2) and points average (3.9).  She ranks 12th in the NCAA in goals average.
The CAA goals average leader is Delaware's Caitlin McCartney (3.25) and the points leader is Hofstra's Brittain Altomare (4.0).

Ancarrow Continues to Move Up:  With five goals and two assists last week, Casey Ancarrow now has career totals of 150 goals, 56 assists and 206 points.  She moved from tied for seventh to sixth on JMU's career points list.  Ancarrow is just one goal away from fifth place on the career goals list, held by Megan Riley ('99, 151).
