RICHMOND, Va., Oct. 28, 2012 -- The pairings are set for the 2012 CAA Field Hockey Championship, which will be held November 2-4 at Buckley Field on the campus of Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pa.

The six-team event will open with quarterfinal action on Friday as #4 William & Mary (10-8 overall, 3-4 in CAA) faces #5 Delaware (7-11 overall, 3-4 in CAA), followed by #3 James Madison (10-7 overall, 4-3 in CAA) against #6 Hofstra (7-11 overall, 1-6 in CAA). Game times for all of this weekend's action are still to be determined

In Saturday’s semifinals, top-seeded Drexel (13-6 overall, 5-2 in CAA) meets the William & Mary/Delaware winner and second-seeded Northeastern (13-5 overall, 5-2 in CAA) takes on the James Madison/Hofstra winner.

The CAA championship match will be played on Sunday, with the winner earning the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Field Hockey Championship Tournament.

Tickets are $5 for adults. Free admission will be offered to youth under 12 and students of participating CAA schools with a valid college ID.

The tournament was originally scheduled to start on Thursday, but the schedule was pushed back a day due to the affects of Hurricane Sandy in the Northeast.
