Jackie joined the James Madison University Sports Medicine Department Staff as an assistant athletic trainer in August 2006. Jackie was elevated to Associate Athletic Trainer in 2011. Jackie's primary clinical responsibility is with the Women's Field Hockey Program. She also provides clinical supervision for Women's Lacrosse. In addition, Jackie is an Approved Clinical Instructor within the Athletic Training Education Program and provides clinical education and evaluation for the undergraduate athletic training students.

Jackie received her undergraduate degree at The University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in May 2000. She completed her Master's degree in Sports Health Care from the Arizona School of Health Sciences in August 2002.

Jackie most recently was the Assistant Athletic Trainer at Texas Pan-American University in Edinburg Texas. There she worked with a variety of their Division 1 sports programs including women's basketball, women's volleyball, and baseball. Jackie is nationally certified by the Board of Certification and is a licensed athletic trainer by the Virginia Board of Medicine. She also holds advanced certifications as a Corrective Exercise Specialist from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Jackie is also recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
