Lisa joined the sports medicine staff at JMU as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer in August of 2008.  Her primary sport responsibility for her two years as a GA was with the Dukes' softball program.  Following her graduation Lisa was hired as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Department of Sports Medicine in August 2010.  Lisa is currently responsible for the day-to-day care of the Women's Soccer program as well as serving as an Approved Clinical Instructor for JMU's nationally recognized athletic training education program.

Lisa is originally from Catalina Island, Calif.  She completed her undergraduate degree with honors at University of the Pacific in Stockton, Calif., in 2004.  While at Pacific, Lisa majored in sport science with a concentration in athletic training.  Upon completion of her undergraduate degree, she worked as an interim athletic trainer with the Pacific baseball team and later as the Head Athletic Trainer at Mission College Preparatory School and San Luis Sports Therapy in San Luis Obispo, Calif., prior to coming to JMU.  Lisa is nationally certified by the Board of Certification and is a licensed athletic trainer by the Virginia Board of Medicine.  She also holds advanced certifications as a Corrective Exercise Specialist from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. 

Lisa is actively involved in JMU's Fellowship of Christian Athletes and resides in Harrisonburg.
