Meghan
Poirier is a freshman forward and midfielder from Cary, N.C., majoring in
athletic training. Meghan, who wears uniform number 4, created and performed as
the mascot for her club soccer team.
My dream job is to be a physical therapist.
I chose to come to JMU because I wanted a large selection of majors and
a campus that reminded me of New England.
My favorite non-soccer memory is when my family and I zip-lined through
the mountains of North Carolina.
My favorite soccer memory is when I played soccer in Norway, Sweden, and
Denmark with my club and we won the tournament in Sweden.
Something about me that would surprise people is I created and performed
as the mascot for my soccer club.
The accomplishment of which I am proudest is being able to play soccer
in college.
My favorite thing about playing soccer is the feeling after you score a
goal.
A quote that inspires/motivates me is "If you don't love what you
do, you won't do it with much conviction or passion."
A person who is an inspiration to me is my middle school soccer coach,
Gene Daniels, because he had a passion for the game and a big heart for all of
his players.
The most played artist on my iPod is Jack Johnson, because I like to try
to play his songs on my guitar.
A way that I relax is by going out for ice cream with my friends.
One of the top items on my bucket list is to get married on a roller
coaster.
