JMU Athletics Mission Statement
We guide and support the James Madison University student-athletes in their quest for excellence - academically, athletically, and socially. Above all else, we exist to prepare our student-athletes for productive and meaningful lives.

Duke Club Mission Statement
The Duke Club is the fundraising arm for James Madison University Athletics. Through its annual fund drive, the Duke Club raises unrestricted contributions in support of student-athlete scholarships and the athletic budget. Additionally, the Duke Club aids athletic facility enhancements and other needs through capital campaigns.

About the JMU Duke Club
As a Duke Club member, you contribute to the educational opportunities of the student-athletes representing James Madison University. Each and every season, Duke Club members witness their impact first hand as JMU student-athletes routinely compete as champions both on the playing field and in the classroom.

Student Duke Club
Do you have a child at JMU? Sign them up for the Student Duke Club, the largest student organization on campus with over 2,000 members! Our misssion is to promote unrivaled school spirit and an electric home field advantage through the support of JMU Athletics. The Student Duke Club also supports student-athlete scholarships and the general operating budget.
Graduate Duke Club
The GDC is a program within the Duke Club, designed for JMU Alumni who have graduated within the last four years. This program is a great way to continue your support of JMU Athletics upon graduation. Your gift to the Duke Club will receive double the credit toward your Duke Club benefits. Therefore, benefits such as hospitality, premium seating, and parking will only require half of the normal donation amount. In addition, the GDC is a great opportunity to network with other JMU alumni through regional Duke Club chapters. When you join the GDC, you will receive information about events in your area where you can meet other members of the JMU Nation.
Letterwinner Chapter
It is important that our former student-athletes stay engaged with JMU by joining the Letterwinner Chapter, which helps keep JMU competitive and supports student-athletes who are following in their footsteps. The Letterwinner Chapter falls under the guidelines and benefits of the Duke Club but features a unique and innovative means of revenue sharing. Ten percent of a member's gift can be directed to a sport's general operating budget while still having full Duke Club benefits for their gift.

Proud to Do My Part

Duke Dog Pride is a membership campaign that was launched in 2011 to increase the foundation of support for JMU student-athletes. Over 1,400 new members showed their pride and joined the Duke Club. Though the campaign has ended, the message lives on. We are proud of the purple and gold, and we want to make a difference. By providing financial resources through Duke Club membership, we are providing for success.

Duke Club Goals
The Duke Club has achieved phenomenal growth in recent years with a 95% increase in fundraising over the last five years. Increases in membership and overall funds raised have allowed JMU Athletics to privately fund more student-athlete scholarships and provide more resources for critical areas such as equipment, travel, and recruiting. This growth is a reflection of JMU alumni and fans' immense passion for the Dukes, and their willingness to support our mission. We will continue to move forward through the generosity of our current donors and the addition of new Duke Club members to achieve our 2012 goals:

Accomplishing these goals will provide significantly more funding for student-athletes. Also, by reaching 3,500 members, we will continue to grow our foundation of donors, which last year surpassed most of our CAA competitors and peer institutions across the nation.

110% Program

Participate in one of the following three ways. Become a new Duke Club members with a minimum pledge of $110. Increase your last year's pledge by at least 10% (for donors with a minimum pledge of $110 and under $1000). Increase your Duke Club pledge by at least $100 (for donors over $1000). Participants of the 110% Program in 2013 receive a JMU license plate holder.
